Description

The Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor has an opening for a Part-Time Intern Web Application Developer. The applicant will work closely with the supervisor to provide automation solutions for the office, including and not limited to: Developing new or upgrading existing web applications, reverse engineering existing Microsoft Access applications for conversion to web applications, writing SQL DML commands, and assisting with SharePoint development and support.

Qualified candidate roles & responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Use the SDLC/Agile methodology in developing web applications using agency standards and industry best practices.
  • Developing/upgrading/documenting web applications using .NET, C#, and Visual Basic.
  • Examine existing Microsoft Access (VBA) applications to understand the business and technical functions for the purpose of recreating same as a .NET web application.
  • Write MS SQL DML commands and perform data normalization.
  • Assist with the production of ad-hoc SSRS reports.
  • Assisting with creating SharePoint sites, pages, web parts, etc.
  • Attend business requirements meetings with the development team and assist with writing system & user requirements specification documents for review and end user acceptance.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Development experience: Web Applications, C# , VB.NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, XML, CSS, HTML, JSON, JavaScript, AJAX, SSRS and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Relational Database knowledge and development on Microsoft SQL Server platform.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position.

Educational Requirements:

  • Computer Programming or a related field of study is required.
